  1. We can’t thank enough Matt and Cathy for allowing us to share space / food / talks with them . We could see what community living is and what community living can be. We have left this magical place changed, like few more jigsaw puzzles of our lives found its right place in Lorinna . We will always have a special place in our hearts for all people, animals and spirits from Lorinna and we wish Matt and Cathy all strength they need on their journey. Thank you , thank you, dziękujemy…

  2. Beautiful people in a beautiful place. Matt and Cathy were so welcoming and open in sharing their home and community. Thank you!

  3. Lorinna is a very special place and Matt, Cathy and the girls provide so much charm and peace. The vision they set out to achieve is wholesome and organic, they are incredibly open and accommodating and wish nothing more than to be able to share their lives with everyone.
The nature that surrounds Lorinna is raw, rugged and charming, and the wider community are inspiring as well as humble, friendly and inclusive.
Being part of the natural building project was great and the intentions behind the plan are pure and holistic. I would love to come back again to share and learn more with you all.

  4. Such a deep and powerful connection with nature and people.
How to describe an experience as rich as this one.
It is not only a build, but a group of people willing to bring the most the family and the land.
Thank you so much to Matt, Cathy, Sophia and Ange for this wonderful adventure and the inspiration that I get from it.
Building, cooking, sharing skills, playing….. made my stay a complete enjoyment and an amazing quality of life.
I wish you all the best

  5. There have been so few experiences that I can say have been truly positive, and this was one of them. I’ve woofed around a bit, and you won’t find a better host than Matt. His generosity and concern for my personal well-being was shocking! And there’s no two sides to it. If you are willing to tough out the elements, sleep in a tent and give a reasonable effort to building, you will be rewarded. Music around the fire almost every night, Easy mornings, group meditation, cozy community events, unlimited food, skill sharing. It’s great.

  6. Matt and Cathy are truly generous, kind and openhearted people. Never before have I met two people so committed to building a life that reflects such positive values. Partaking in their build was an amazing experience and a privilege and I hope to be back soon.

Stay as long as you can, you won’t regret it.

  7. Matt and Cathy’s place felt like home for 4 weeks. It broke my heart to leave as their lifestyle, their choices, their parenting, their characters… etc are truely inspiring. Living there is like living in paradise where everyone gets a spot. Thank you again, I miss you ! xx

  8. The Lorinna community is vast and peace inducing. It is so lovely to be away from electrical cables galore, to experience whole families living ‘alternative’ lifestyles, seeing free-range children roaming about learning from nature and each other as well as their parents, content and healthy wildlife, swimming in their own private lake…. I spent 2 weeks in Matt and Cathy’s space and came away feeling rejuvenated, loved, accepted, inspired, healthy and full of gratitude.
These are genuinely loving and kind and gentle and fun people.

Definitely go to Lorinna and Saltstream if you get the opportunity and it feels like the right time 🙂

Much love and well wishes to all of Lorinna and thanks for having me

  9. I stayed at Salt Stream for about a week and what an inspiring time I had. This was my first foray into WWOOFing and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, learning some earth building skills. I got to help three other capable WWOOFers with building Matt and Cathy’s new cob cottage. What a privilege to engage and work with a wonderful community that is serious about living sustainably.
This is definitely for those who are interested in experiencing seriously off-grid communal living so don’t expect consumer conveniences and to be waited on. I just loved the way everyone pulls together to get things done in a relaxed and friendly manner. Thanks again Matt, Cathy, Marine, Theo, Nico and the Lorinna community for making this experience a truly enjoyable one.
